Nalu Vida Raises $10K for Wildfire Relief at Restaurant Venice Beach Block Party
Nalu Vida is proud to share the incredible success of our recent Fire Fundraiser Block Party, where our community came together to raise nearly $10,000 for local firefighters and wildfire relief efforts. Held near the iconic Venice Pier, the event was filled with live music, laughter, and the true spirit of Venice.

The day kicked off with a pancake breakfast prepared by firefighters from Los Angeles Fire Department Station 63, with all proceeds benefiting both the station and the Marina del Rey Fireman’s Fund. Additional donations poured in through food and drink sales, raffle tickets from The Venice Brand, and QR code contributions, which were generously matched by the Marina del Rey Rotary Club.

“Nalu Vida is all about community, and it was inspiring to see so many people come together for such an important cause,” said co-organizer Christian Warren. “We’re incredibly grateful for the support and generosity shown by everyone who joined us.”

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed live performances from reggae band Unkle Monkey, multiple sets by The Brobots, and comedy acts that kept the crowd laughing. DJ Yoga Matt kept the energy high between sets, and the night wrapped up with dinner service, a UFC viewing, and a late-night DJ set.

The pancake breakfast was a true highlight of the morning, as families gathered to enjoy a delicious meal served by the brave firefighters of Station 63. Children had the opportunity to meet the firefighters, explore a real fire truck, and learn about fire safety in an interactive and engaging way. It was heartwarming to see the community connect with those who work tirelessly to protect us.

The raffle was another major success, featuring prizes donated by local businesses, including gift cards, merchandise, and unique experiences. The Venice Brand played a key role in organizing the raffle, and their commitment to community causes continues to inspire us. Attendees eagerly purchased tickets, knowing that each contribution was making a difference.

Food and drink vendors from the Venice Beach area also came together to support the cause. From gourmet tacos to refreshing smoothies, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Nalu Vida’s signature dishes were a crowd favorite, with proceeds from every plate sold going directly to the fundraiser. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone was well-fed and happy throughout the day.

The entertainment lineup kept the energy high and the smiles wide. Unkle Monkey brought their signature reggae sound, creating a laid-back, beachy vibe that perfectly matched the Venice atmosphere. The Brobots delivered multiple sets, each one more electrifying than the last, while comedians had the crowd roaring with laughter. DJ Yoga Matt seamlessly filled the gaps between performances, ensuring that the energy never waned.
As the sun began to set, the event transitioned into an evening of celebration. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner service, followed by a UFC viewing party that brought sports fans together. The night concluded with a late-night DJ set, where attendees danced under the stars, celebrating the success of the fundraiser and the strength of the Venice community.
We’re thankful to our media partner, Venice Paparazzi, for capturing the magic and highlighting the contributions of local leaders like Councilwoman Traci Park, Sonya Young Jimenez from L.A. City Recreation & Parks, The Venice Brand, and Nancy Voss of the Marina del Rey Rotary Club. Their dedication to our community made this event possible, and we’re honored to work alongside them.
This event was more than just a fundraiser—it was a testament to the power of community. Venice has always been known for its vibrant culture and tight-knit community, and the Fire Fundraiser Block Party exemplified those values. From the volunteers who set up tables and chairs to the performers who donated their time and talent, everyone played a role in making the day unforgettable.
Looking ahead, Nalu Vida remains committed to supporting our community through events like this. We believe that when we come together, we can achieve incredible things. Whether it’s raising funds for wildfire relief, supporting local artists, or simply creating spaces for connection, we’re here for Venice.
